GUY FRIENDS: fidus Achates FOREVERMORE…

“Bye”, I said a bit hesitant and low-spirited, knowing that we were not going to meet again, at least not till we were told to jam for the next gig. “Facebook pe ho?” (Are you on Facebook?), he said leaving me astounded. “Haan? Yeah I use it.”, I said. How could I be so thickheaded? How can I give an inapt and a half-baked answer. Yes, I am on Facebook was sufficient.

Drop it, that is bygone anyway.  After hunting each other on Facebook, the next 5 months we spent in knowing one another the best way possible and eventually disclosing each others SWOT (STRENGTH, WEAKNESS, and OPPORTUNITIES & THREATS).

Years passed and time flew and the tale continued…….

Who is a GUY FRIEND?

A guy who listens to his girl friend (precisely a friend who is a girl) any time she needs an ear, no matter how bad it breaks his heart that she’s crying over another guy when he knows she would be completely happy with him at whatever cost on his part. He’s always there when no one else is, just to watch her go find another one to stomp on her self-esteem. But, nonetheless, he stays and waits to be the shoulder she cries on. Basically, the guy best friend a girl should have.

Talking about me, I am a chaotic person who is a self-observer and a staunch solitary lover. All my previous days were home-bound that I never thought of exploring something new. Friends, yeah I had then but extremely limited. Think of a teenager home-bound, monotonous, unstipulating, and puzzled, that was exactly me. If I had to explain about my guy friend’s ingress in my life, I would say, he is the unusual raindrop on a dry land. Puzzling right? Imagine the raindrops touching that dry and gloomy land which makes the entire panorama lively and divine. He was the raindrop on my shriveled land lacking high spirited fun.

Every time we went out I thought it is just a normal day out, of course it was but we were unknowingly creating memories, the best ones of my life. No guy wants a girl to be around who is totally monotonous when he already has better people to be with. If somebody does that, catch hold of them and never let them go, you found your raindrop.

Looking back makes me feel nostalgic. A little goes a long way. As said, guy friends are fun bombs that explodes into happiness allowing you to find the real you. This fun bomb brought out the joyous side of me giving me a reason to love myself and taught what life and people can do to you. Things change and scenario differ but does that makes them fall apart? No I guess not sure though. If you have such a person then value the friendship so much that they never feel deserted.  Always keep it a point to learn lessons and never repeat the same mistake.Now that I have been struck by reality and learnt what life is, I won’t go back to repeat the selfsame mistake to stain my beautiful little life with blemishes.

We all have wings and we all know how to fly but the heavy weight that restrains us from flying is the terror of letting go and being misunderstood miserably. Take courage and cut off the chains and soar high to reach destinations unknown. Live life, king size.

To all the guy friends out there, you are doing great so CHEERS TO YOUR FRIENDSHIP.

To lay it on the line, this area is bit cliché to write upon but this is a practical requisite that gets me going through all ups and down, so here is one scribbled.

NO GRUDGES, NO HOSTILITY AND NO HARD!!!!
